Refimet | About
Refimet was founded in 2022 in Spino d’Adda (CR) from the partnership between Ecomet Refining and PH Investment, holding of Legor Group, integrating their respective experiences in recovery and refining of precious metals, in the jewelry and fashion sectors.
Founded by Alberto Tosoni, the beneficiary of the experience of a four-generation family of Swiss origin of operators in this field, the company is one of the leading companies in this sector in Italy and, as the acronym “Refimet” (Refining Metals) suggests, it is specialized in precious metals refining present in different sub-products, jewelry, dental and industrial waste.
Refimet processes are based on the continuous search for ecological and economically sustainable processes to extract precious metals from general waste, which allows us to pursue the goal of embracing the concept of circular economy, since pure metals obtained from waste are part of the production cycle of companies all over the world.
Our goal is to be able to offer our customers in the jewelry, fashion and industry sectors the traceability of the metals received, which come from sustainable and certified sources. In fact, Refimet is certified Code of Practices by the Responsible Jewelry Council.
The recovery and purification process can take from a few days to a few weeks depending on the type of material and allows Refimet to recover and refine tons of metals (gold, silver, palladium, platinum, rhodium, ruthenium, iridium, copper, zinc), from the electronic, photographic, galvanic, pharmaceutical, chemical, petrochemical, as well as gold and fashion industries waste.
